Record 3 Bills as a Freshman Legislator
Representative Rose was told as a Freshman Legislator he should acclimate himself and not think of passing a bill. He didn’t take that
advice as he not only had 3 bills pass the house in his first legislative session but these bills also passed the Senate and ultimately became law. This is a South Carolina House of Representatives Record. No other Freshman Legislator has accomplished this feat in their first five months in the House.
Representative Rose’s Bill Receives National Recognition
The Samantha Josephson Rideshare Safety Act was authored by Representative Rose in response to a terrible tragedy that occurred in House District 72. Not only was the bill signed into law, increasing the safety of South Carolinians, but it has also been model legislation
followed by legislators in other states.
30 Million and Counting in State Funds for House District 72 and Columbia.
Representative Rose has secured 30 million and counting in state funds to better House District 72 and the Capital City. These funds are for the below projects:
1.5 Million and Counting for a future Devine Street makeover from 5 Points to Dreher High School
5 Million for a Transformative 5 Points Harden Street Road Project beginning April 2024
2 Million for Road Improvement to Milwood Avenue
16 Million for Riverfront Business Infrastructure for Columbia to finally utilize its beautiful riverfront.
23 Million for South Main Street Road
1.2 Million for US176 Broad River Road project from St Andrews to Atlantic Drive
With more time Representative Rose will continue producing significant results by making his way around Columbia and House District 72 for transformative projects.
