On Saturday, Dec. 15, when the ribbon was cut and the new Edgewood branch of the Richland Library officially opened, more than 2 years of hard work by State Representative Seth Rose had come full circle to build a new library branch to a neighborhood that had lost its library more than 45 years ago.

Partnering with the Columbia Housing Authority, local governments, and others, the new branch of the Richland Library opens at the corner of Oak and Elmwood, in an repurposed Dollar General store that once sat abandoned in the heart of the Edgewood neighborhood.
